Safety Consequence

Potential Safety Risk

Improper installation of the Park Pawl Return Spring can allow the vehicle to move more than 150mm when parked, increasing the risk of vehicle rollaway and unintended motion. This creates a serious safety hazard, particularly in parking situations on inclines.

Remedy / Fix

What Will Be Done

FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected vehicles to replace the Electric Drive Module (EDM) with a properly installed Park Pawl Return Spring. Replacement restores proper park engagement and prevents rollaway.
