Body Exterior, Baggage Door
The baggage door skins may come loose and separate from the door frame on Newmar motorhome models including King Aire (2016-2024), Essex (2023-2024), and London Aire (2023-2024) production. A detached door skin can become a road hazard and potentially strike other vehicles or property, increasing the risk of a crash. This safety defect could result in loose exterior components.
Source: NHTSA Official DataA detached baggage door skin can separate from the vehicle while in motion, becoming a road hazard that could strike other vehicles or cause accidents. This creates a risk of collision and property damage to the recalled vehicle and others on the roadway.
Dealers will inspect and add fasteners and adhesive to the baggage door as necessary, free of charge. The repair secures the door skin to the frame to prevent separation.
