Recall Summary

The Shift-to-Park warning may not be active on certain 2025 Nissan Kicks vehicles built from June 24, 2024 to March 4, 2025. If the driver turns the vehicle's ignition OFF while the gear selector is in a position other than Park and opens the driver side door, the Shift-to-Park warning does not display on the instrument panel and the audible alarm does not sound. This condition is not compliant with FMVSS 114, Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention.

Safety Consequence

Potential Safety Risk

Without the Shift-to-Park warning and audible alarm, drivers may inadvertently leave the vehicle in a gear other than Park, increasing the risk of vehicle rollaway, which could result in unintended movement of the vehicle and potential crashes.
