Brake System, Front Brake Caliper
The front brake calipers or front wheels may detach due to improper securing of the front brake caliper mounting bracket and hub. The issue affects certain 2024 Toyota RAV4 and 2025 Lexus NX vehicles. If the brake caliper or wheel detaches while driving, there can be an increase in stopping distance or a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of crash.

Toyota dealers will ensure the front brake caliper mounting bracket and hub are properly secured. The repair takes approximately 1 hour and is performed free of charge. Owner notifications began mid-December 2024.
