Steering System, Intermediate Steering Shaft
Due to cracks developed during the manufacturing process, the steering intermediate shaft assembly may fracture and possibly result in a loss of steering control. The defect affects certain 2023-2024 Corolla and Corolla Hybrid vehicles where manufacturing processes led to structural weakness in the steering shaft. This increases the risk of unexpected loss of steering capability.
